Pros and Cons of Getting Tattoos

There’s always a good and bad side to everything, like tattoos.  Tattooing has been connected with social statuses to crimes, tattoos definitely have some pros and cons. People get a tattoo for different reasons. Some people get them for the art or as a memorial. Some get them as a way to express their personality and things they like. And some get them just because they look pretty.Take a look at this list here to see the pros and cons of having a tattoo.

Pro: Form of Self Expression

Tattooing is an art which lets a person express themself. Those who are familiar with this art can tell you that the tattoo can tell you a lot about someone's life, interests and beliefs. And you don’t even need to have an actual conversation with that person.

Con: Tattoo Aging

The most change in a tattoo’s appearance comes from wear and tear over a lifetime. As your skin ages, your tattoo ages with it. Although the ink will never completely disappear, as time goes by, your tattoo will begin to fade.

Pro: Tattoos Provide Confidence

Where you get your tattoo can also help to improve your self confidence. Tattoos can make people not look at the areas on your body where you don't want to receive attention to body parts that the tattoo is, but tattoos can still boost your confidence.

Con: Risky

Tattoos break the skin. They can make skin infections and allergies. Tattoo dyes that are  red, green, yellow and blue can cause allergies and itchy rashes.

There are lots of reasons to get a tattoo, but also more reasons why not to. 

In my opinion I love the look of tattoos and always have. In the end it’s others' decision. Do you think it's a good idea to get a tattoo?
